International Definition of Antisemitism

The Council has not adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.

We have searched the Council’s website and the public domain but have not found any reference to adoption of the International Definition of Antisemitism.

Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 3rd August 2021 to which the Council responded on 19th November 2021, confirming that the Council had not adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.

A renewed request was submitted on 21st April 2022. As at 12th August 2022 the Council has not responded.

Incidents

No incidents relating to the Council’s officials or councillors have been reported to us, however we recognise that antisemitism is chronically underreported and it is possible that there are incidents that have not been reported. To report an incident, please contact us.
