The Council has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism in full, including all of its examples.
The Definition was adopted on an unknown date in November 2019.
The Council has told Campaign Against Antisemitism that: “This was adopted in November 2019…We do not have a formal minute, however our adoption and how we make reference to the definition and examples can be evidenced from…the Council’s website relating to Community Safety…”
This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 16th August 2021, to which the Council responded on 14th September 2021.
As part of its response, the Council provided its Anti-Social Behaviour Investigation, Hate Crime and Enforcement Protocol, February 2020 which shows that the Definition was adopted.
