The Executive Assistant and Events Manager’s role is to:
- Assist the Chief Executive in managing their workload and schedule, and liaising with staff and volunteers to ensure that requirements and deadlines are met;
- Provide administrative and organisational support to our leadership team and ensure that our offices run smoothly;
- Lead the organisation of a busy annual programme of events and exclusive briefings in support of our fundraising and public policy work; and
- Ensure that our team builds and strengthens its relationships with politicians, donors, community leaders and key influencers in the UK.
Assisting the Chief Executive: Like the organisation itself, the Chief Executive has a challenging workload and a busy calendar. You must be able to effectively organise their diary and exercise good judgement in order to successfully prioritise amongst the different demands on their time.
Providing administrative and organisational support: As well as supporting the Chief Executive, you will support other teams and units within Campaign Against Antisemitism. You will need to be confident in learning to use new software and programmes to create resources such as budgets, project plans, and itineraries.
Organising events: Working with our team, you will develop and manage a range of events throughout the year, including briefings, fundraising events, rallies, training, and internal events for our staff and volunteers.
Building relationships with external parties: You will often be the first point of contact for people contacting us, so you must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. You will need excellent interpersonal skills in order to manage existing relationships as well as to build news ones on behalf of Campaign Against Antisemitism.
The successful candidate will be meticulously organised and precise, even under pressure, using the latest technology such as cloud-based apps, to ensure that our charity’s leaders can be as efficient as possible.
Your work will require you to prioritise effectively, respond fast, think analytically and write and communicate persuasively and eloquently. You will be a fast learner, who can rapidly develop practical solutions and operate with total discretion. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable working as part of a growing team.
