Legal Officer

Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) is the UK’s leading organisation fighting antisemitism nationwide. In order to ensure that antisemites are held to account by the full force of the law and to assist with legal aspects of CAA’s general operations, we require legal officers.

As a Legal Officer you will:

  • Assist with drafting, editing and reviewing legal and regulatory documents (including pleadings, correspondence, submissions and agreements);
  • Assist with reviewing and analysing potential new cases;
  • Provide legal advice and guidance (both substantive and procedural) and general assistance in any areas in which you have particular expertise; and
  • Provide legal support where required across general operations.

Applicants for this position must have some legal background, whether professional or in higher education. Successful candidates will be meticulously precise and capable of independently producing high quality, succinct and accurate written work with an understanding of the attention to detail required in this area and an awareness of CAA’s policies and goals. They will have excellent analytical skills and judgment, in order to be able conduct research on complex legal and factual issues and provide reasoned analysis at pace. Applicants for Legal Officer must be happy to work in a supportive role, taking on tasks as they are assigned by our Legal Unit.
