Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) is the UK’s leading organisation fighting antisemitism nationwide. In order to ensure that our message is received by the British public, we require Media Liaison Officers to maintain relationships with British media outlets, seeking opportunities for CAA to make public statements, take part in interviews and make the most of all available opportunities to raise awareness of the challenges facing the British Jewish community.
As Media Liaison Officer you will:
- Proactively approach media outlets, initiating and maintaining relationships;
- Make bids to media and push for inclusion and consultation of CAA; and
- Draft press releases under the supervision of our Communications team and spokespeople.
Applicants must have a deep understanding of both the British and global media landscape. Applicants must understand that this is a very sensitive area of CAA’s work and be content to work in close collaboration with our Communications team and spokespeople. Successful candidates will be personable and generally skilled in verbal and written communication, whilst being able to effectively organise their work and deal professionally with a high volume of communications. Although not required, ideal candidates will have experience in media or PR and working with journalists. Candidates must be generally capable and fluent in navigating cloud-based systems and basic web-applications.
