Antisemitism in Political Parties

“Antisemitism is the organisation of politics against the Jews” — Ruth Wisse

United Kingdom Independence Party

When Campaign Against Antisemitism previously complained to UKIP about a number of its representatives, the Party’s approach was haphazard, sometimes summarily expelling members, while leaving others in post, free to engage in further, more egregious antisemitic discourse. Others were apparently disciplined, but the outcome was left ambiguous. Following repeated requests by Campaign Against Antisemitism, the Party has failed to confirm whether it accepts the International Definition of Antisemitism already adopted by various other parties, with senior figures in the Party reportedly having mounted strenuous opposition to its adoption.
