University Definition adopted

The University has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism in full, including all of its examples.

The Definition was adopted on 4th November 2020.

The University announced the decision through a statement published on its website on 6th November 2020.

Students' Union Definition not adopted

When asked on 8th August 2020, Cambridge Students’ Union failed to confirm whether it has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.

Incidents and Updates

The University engaged with the organisers of the anti-Israel encampment and agreed to a number of commitments, which are “contingent on the encampment closing down”. The organisers have said that they “are planning to undertake a process of decamping” following the University’s statement.
