The University has not adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
The University has told Campaign Against Antisemitism: “The University has zero tolerance to anti-Semitism [sic] and other forms of racism and responds robustly to them. If such cases occur, we will use the whole of the definition of anti-Semitism [sic] including the IHRA definition as a reference point when dealing with specific allegations of anti-Semitism [sic] on campus. Should such allegations arise in relation to staff and student conduct, the University will refer to the whole of the definition of anti Semitism [sic] to guide its assessment of whether there is substance to an allegation…”
This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 14th March 2023. On 7th July 2023, the University responded.
When asked on 11th August 2020, University of South Wales Students’ Union failed to confirm whether it has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
