Antisemitism Awareness Week at UCL

CAA at UCL

This week, Campaign Against Antisemitism was proud to support the very first Antisemitism Awareness Week in the UK.

Our CAA Student Ambassador at University College London spearheaded this incredible initiative at University College London.

Over the course of the week our Student Ambassador, along with other Jewish students, ran an engagement stall which provided passersby with educational leaflets about antisemitism and opportunities to ask about their experiences as Jewish students on campus and about Jewish life more generally.

There was also a further educational event organised by students on campus, as well as videos and other tools to raise awareness.

Our van also made an appearance.

The week provided an insight into the Jewish experience on university campuses in the UK – which is all-too-often clouded by antisemitism, intimidation and fear.

It is vital to raise awareness of the Jewish experience on campus, including the challenges that Jewish students and staff face, and to educate others about how anti-Jewish racism manifests and its effect on victims.
