Bristol councillor suspended amid antisemitism allegations

Harriet Bradley, a Labour councillor who sits on Bristol City Council, has been suspended amid allegations of antisemitism on social media.

Ms Bradley is currently under investigation for allegedly sharing a Jewish Voice for Labour post with the comment: “The right kind of Jews – ie [sic] left voters.”

It is understood that the original post and the comment have since been removed.

A spokesperson for the Labour Party said: “The Labour Party takes all complaints of anti-Semitism [sic] extremely seriously and they are fully investigated in line with our rules and procedures and any appropriate action is taken.”

Campaign Against Antisemitism advocates for zero tolerance of antisemitism in public life. To that end, we monitor all political parties and strive to ensure that any cases of concern are properly addressed.
