Jewish school ramps up security following Hamas massacre in Israel

A Jewish school has ramped up its security measures following the barbaric massacre carried out by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Southern Israel on Saturday.

In an e-mail sent to parents of children at the Jewish Free School (JFS) in North London, it was announced that after-school detentions would be cancelled so students could access school buses. Parents were also told that wearing school blazers, which feature torah scrolls and a Star of David on the crest, would be optional.

The e-mail also announced that JFS staff would be placed at a nearby train station “with increased security on the route” in addition to “increased Metropolitan Police patrols in the area”.

CST has also increased security measures around the school.

Campaign Against Antisemitism’s analysis of Home Office statistics shows that an average of over four hate crimes are directed at Jews every single day in England and Wales, with Jews more than five times likelier to be targets of hate crimes than any other faith group.
