The University has told Campaign Against Antisemitism that it has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism, but it has not provided evidence to support its claim. It was not clear from the University’s response whether the examples were adopted.
The University said that the Definition was adopted on 16th March 2020.
When Campaign Against Antisemitism asked the University whether it had adopted the Definition in its entirety, including all of the examples, the University responded that the “Examples [were] not explicitly included”.
This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 7th July 2020. On 5th November 2020, the University responded.
When asked on 21st July 2020, Bath Spa University Students’ Union failed to confirm whether it has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
No incidents have been reported to us, however we recognise that antisemitism is chronically underreported and it is possible that there are incidents that have not been reported. To report an incident, please contact us.
