The University, which trades as Plymouth Marjon University but is registered as the University of St Mark and St John, has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism in full, including all of its examples.
The Definition was adopted on 19th June 2019.
This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 10th July 2020. On 4th August 2020, the University responded. On 4th January 2021, the University updated its response.
As part of its response, the University provided minutes of a meeting of its Senate on 19th June 2019, which show that the Definition was adopted.
Additionally, the University published a statement on its website on an unknown date in 2020.
When asked on 6th August 2020, Marjon Students’ Union failed to confirm whether it has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
