The University has not adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 18th August 2026. On 24th September 2026, the University responded.
The University has told Campaign Against Antisemitism: [as part of its] “…commitment that no form of discrimination, religious or otherwise, is tolerated on campus or in the workplace and that any complaints of such breaches will be promptly investigated,…” the University makes reference on its website to the European Union handbook for the practical use of the IHRA working definition of antisemitism “…so that visitors to our website can see how the University has acknowledged this additional definition,…”.
When asked on 7th August 2020, Queen’s University Belfast Students’ Union told Campaign Against Antisemitism that: “…as it is integrated into Queen’s University Belfast” a request for information should be made to the University.
No incidents have been reported to us, however we recognise that antisemitism is chronically underreported and it is possible that there are incidents that have not been reported. To report an incident, please contact us.
