The University has not adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 17th August 2026. On 17th September 2026, the University responded.
As part of its response, the University provided an article of 23rd February 2021 and the SOAS Charter on Racism, Antisemitism and All Forms of Cultural, Ethnic and Religious Chauvinism of 15th May 2025 in support of their decision not to adopt the Definition.
When asked on 6th August 2020, SOAS Students’ Union failed to confirm whether it has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
