University Definition adopted

The University has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism in full, including all of its examples.

The Definition was adopted on 16th December 2016.

This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 15th July 2020. On 11th August 2020, the University responded. On 25th January 2021, the University updated its response.

Additionally, the University published a statement on its website on an unknown date in 2020. The University told Campaign Against Antisemitism that: “The statement on the website has been made to clarify the position held by the University since December 2016.”

When asked on 11th August 2020, Oxford University Student Union failed to confirm whether it has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
