The University has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism in full, including all of its examples.
The Definition was adopted on 24th May 2021.
The University has told Campaign Against Antisemitism that: “The University’s decision-making process that led to adopting the definition was undertaken as part of the in-depth Race Equality Review…published in May 2021…”.
This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 15th July 2020. On 12th August 2020, the University responded. On 8th April 2022, the University updated its response.
Additionally, the University published its Harassment reporting and support recommendations on its website on an unknown date.
When asked on 11th August 2020, Reading University Students’ Union failed to confirm whether it has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
