The University has not adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
The University has told Campaign Against Antisemitism: “The University of Stirling takes account of a wide range of external information, guidance, and advice. The University has not formally adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism but does acknowledge it and recognises that it provides an agreed upon point of reference.”
This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 on 20th August 2026. On 16th September 2026, the University responded.
When asked on 11th August 2020, University of Stirling Students’ Union failed to confirm whether it has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
No incidents have been reported to us, however we recognise that antisemitism is chronically underreported and it is possible that there are incidents that have not been reported. To report an incident, please contact us.
