University of Wales Trinity Saint David

University Definition not adopted

The University has not adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.

The University has told Campaign Against Antisemitism: “The University has considered its approach to the IHRA definition of antisemitism in the context of the response to the definition elsewhere in the higher education sector and in other Welsh universities. The University is following the current practice across the HE sector in Wales, will continue to follow the debate and will respond as appropriate to Welsh Government guidance when received.”

This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 14th June 2023. On 7th July 2023, the University responded.

When asked on 11th August 2020, University of Wales Trinity Saint David Students’ Union failed to confirm whether it has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism.
