The University has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism in full, including all of its examples.
The Definition was adopted on 9th July 2019.
The University has told Campaign Against Antisemitism that it does not apply the Definition in disciplinary matters.
This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 16th July 2020. On 4th August 2020, the University responded.
The University published a statement on its website on unknown date in 2019.
York St John Students’ Union adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism on 12th March 2020.
Student Dignity and Respect Policy was published on its website on 28th June 2023. It was not clear from the minutes whether the examples were adopted.
