490 UNRWA staff evidenced to have ties to terror groups, according to investigation

490 UNRWA staff are evidenced to have ties to terror groups, according to a recent investigation by UN Watch.

The report found evidence that senior UNRWA teachers also served as co-founders of Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) — both antisemitic, genocidal terror organisations responsible for the brutal 7th October massacre, in which over 1,200 people were murdered and some 250 taken hostage.

It also revealed that terror-affiliated employees occupied key union positions, directly influencing UNRWA policy.

UNRWA teachers have glorified terrorism, its schools have been used to store weapons and launch rockets, and its educational materials have long been accused of promoting antisemitism and hate.

Former hostage Emily Damari has even testified that she was held in an UNRWA facility during her captivity.

A spokesperson for Campaign Against Antisemitism said: “It’s time for real accountability. We have long called on the FCDO to come clean about whether it sought legal advice before resuming funding to UNRWA and to publish a summary of the advice, to reassure British Jews and the wider public that there is no risk of this taxpayer money ending up in terrorist hands or operations. To date, the FCDO has refused to do so.

“Perhaps Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, who was recently on the ground in Jordan to review Gaza aid projects, will be more forthcoming than her predecessor and provide the British public and the Jewish community with the reassurance that they deserve.”
