Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) is the UK’s leading organisation fighting antisemitism nationwide. As part of our outreach effort, we aim to educate people across the country as to what exactly constitutes antisemitism and how it can be combated. Every year, thousands of individuals benefit from our education and outreach initiatives, aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of antisemitism.
We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Education and Training Presenters to join our mission and contribute to our efforts in combating antisemitism. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to deliver impactful educational presentations and support a variety of educational initiatives.
As Education and Training Presenter you will:
- Deliver engaging, educational presentations on antisemitism to students and members of the public;
- Collaborate with colleagues in education and outreach to support and strengthen our educational initiatives; and
- Help to expand our network in education and build relationships.
Though not strictly required, any relevant skills or background in education will be highly valued. It is vital that you have a working knowledge of the history of antisemitism, the forms in which it can manifest today and that you are passionate to assist in providing education in this area.
Deliver education sessions: We offer educational sessions to schools and training sessions to other organisations, providing guidance on antisemitism. Applicants should be comfortable with public speaking and delivering sessions and leading group discussions. Applicants will need to be able to represent CAA in a professional manner and be highly presentable and capable of communicating clearly and working effectively with all age groups. Although this is a volunteer position and your time is valued, applicants for this role should have a flexible schedule so that they are able to attend sessions that take place during the working week.
Collaborate with team members: In addition to delivering sessions you will collaborate with team members in education and outreach and the wider CAA team to adapt our educational initiatives to feedback and changing requirements, engaging in discussion with team members. This requires that applicants are able to maintain a consistent line of communication with CAA team members via our cloud-based messaging system and attend meetings via remote communication platforms such as Zoom when required.
Expand our network: We are always looking for opportunities to establish new relationships with institutions active within the education sector and look for new ways in which we can increase our influence and make our materials as widely available as possible. For this reason, the ideal candidate would have a background in education and existing networks within the sector, however this is not a must for a candidate.
This role is the perfect opportunity for anybody who is passionate about preventing antisemitism through education in a frontline role as a member of our education and outreach team, interacting with the public and helping us to improve our education initiatives.
