Schools and Campus Educator
Monday-Thursday, based in London, on-site only
Paid position, eight months (full academic year)
Starting in September, with availability for one week induction prior to start date
Every year, we reach thousands of people through our work in education and outreach. We have become a go-to educator in the field of antisemitism, providing teaching and training at schools, universities and professional, law enforcement and governmental institutions across the UK. We have also become a trusted provider of teaching resources, as well as support and advocacy services for students of all ages.
Since Hamas launched their 7th October terrorist attack, antisemitism at schools and universities has skyrocketed. Campuses have fast become a notorious breeding ground for the spread of antisemitism that we have seen across the UK. Schoolchildren have been exposed to antisemitic bullying online and in some cases threatened outside their school gates. The levels of intimidation targeting Jewish students, attacks on Jewish identity, calls for violence and endorsement of terror organisations has meant that students are now facing the worst rise in antisemitism on record.
Campaign Against Antisemitism is seeking a Schools and Campus Educator to support our work fighting antisemitism on campuses, supporting students and empowering our young Jewish community by:
CAA has a strong reputation for its work on university campuses. This is an exciting opportunity to provide extensive support to Jewish and non-Jewish students combating antisemitism and gain crucial experience to become an proficient antisemitism educator at a time when university students and staff need it the most.
You will work directly with our Education and Outreach Officer, who is based in our London office full-time. Together, you will facilitate our student and community outreach efforts.
The successful candidate will be creative, organised and work well under pressure. You will be adept at managing relationships, with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be a fast learner who can develop practical solutions and communicate persuasively and eloquently. You will be able to travel extensively within the UK and work outside of normal office hours when required.
