The University has adopted the International Definition of Antisemitism in full, including all of its examples.
The Definition was adopted on 11th October 2021.
The University has told Campaign Against Antisemitism that: “On or around 11 October 2021, an amendment to the University Equality and Diversity Policy Statement was made to reflect the IHRA Definition… The University then informed the OfS of this and we were added to the list of providers of who adopted the IHRA working definition.”.
This information was obtained after Campaign Against Antisemitism submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on 16th July 2020. On 13th August 2020, the University responded. On 17th December 2021, the University updated its response with a further update on 3rd February 2023.
