Online Monitor

Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) is the UK’s leading organisation fighting antisemitism nationwide. In order to tackle a rise in antisemitic instances on social media, we require monitors for our Online Monitoring Team.

As an Online Monitor you will:

  • Conduct regular monitoring of social media sites and identify relevant cases for our Online Monitoring team to investigate;
  • Monitor mainstream media coverage of current affairs and identity breaches of the International (IHRA) Definition of Antisemitism;
  • Conduct monitoring of websites and identify instances of online antisemitism; and
  • Conduct monitoring of internet trends and identify issues of concern.

Candidates for this position must be highly familiar with navigating the internet effectively and efficiently. Although advanced IT skills or a background in IT or computing are desirable, they are not obligatory, and successful applicants will be quick learners, capable of adapting to new tools and able to produce meticulously precise reports that nullify the need for research on the part of the report recipient. Candidates must also have a good understanding of both historical and contemporary antisemitism and should possess a basic understanding of the law, or be interested in learning about applicable laws, in order to properly ascertain what constitutes relevant material.
