However, deep-seated antisemitism remains a concern—almost a fifth of British Jews still feel unwelcome, and nearly half hide visible signs of Judaism in public.
Britain is at a crossroads, facing a rise in antisemitism that threatens its Jewish community like never before. This study exposes a troubling reality: growing incitement, unpunished hate crimes, and political leaders enabling antisemitic sentiment. Confidence in the justice system has eroded, with many Jews fearing for their future in the country.
This research presents both a troubling reality and a hopeful shift. While antisemitic crime has reached record levels in recent years and political scandals have exposed deep-rooted prejudice, British society has shown resilience, rejecting antisemitism in a quiet but firm manner. Despite this progress, British Jews feel increasingly unsafe, with one in three considering leaving the country due to rising hate crimes and institutional inaction.
